WHAT WE DO

See the shed live and review recordings

A calving camera needs a stable link between the house and shed. We install that link, mount a night-vision camera, and set up live and recorded phone viewing. Footage stays on your UniFi recorder, so there is no cloud-recording plan.

Wireless Bridge to the Shed

Where the site allows, we install a wireless link from house to shed without trenching across the yard.

Weatherproof Camera with Night Vision

An IP67-rated camera with infrared night vision is positioned to cover the required area in low-light and dark conditions.

Recorded Playback

Recordings are stored locally so you can review earlier activity. How far back you can look depends on storage capacity and recording settings.

Phone App Setup and Handover

We set up the UniFi Protect app for live and recorded viewing at home or away when both systems have internet access.

No Camera Subscription

Footage is recorded on your own UniFi hardware with no camera cloud-recording subscription. Internet service, power, and hardware costs still apply.

No Static IP or Port Forwarding Needed

UniFi remote access does not require you to configure a static IP or open ports on the farm router.

Starlink and Rural Broadband Compatible

The system can use Starlink, fixed wireless, or 4G/5G when the connection is stable enough for remote viewing. Starlink installation can be included when required.

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The camera is only as useful as its connection.

We check power, the link to the shed and camera coverage before installation. Remote viewing needs internet at the farm and on your phone; recordings stay on your local UniFi recorder.

You deal directly with the person responsible for your work, from the first assessment through testing and follow-up.

SERVICE FAQS

A few things you might be wondering.

How far can the wireless bridge reach?
The usable distance depends on clear line of sight, mounting height, power, interference, and the speed required. We check the site and select equipment for that link.
Can I see the camera on my phone when I am away from the farm?
Yes, when the farm system and your phone both have internet access. UniFi remote access does not require you to configure a static IP or port forwarding.
What happens if the power goes out?
The cameras, network equipment and recorder need power. A correctly sized battery backup can cover short outages; runtime depends on the equipment connected. We can discuss backup power for both buildings.
Is there really no monthly fee?
There is no camera cloud-recording subscription because UniFi Protect stores footage on your local recorder. Your existing internet, electricity, and hardware costs still apply.
Can I check what happened while I was out?
Yes. You can review footage saved on the local recorder. The available history depends on storage capacity and recording settings.
Can you add more cameras later?
Additional cameras can be added subject to recorder capacity, network capacity, power and the cable routes available. We can plan for expansion during the initial installation.
Do you cover rural areas outside Dublin?
Yes. We cover Dublin and surrounding counties including Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, Louth, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan and Laois. Share your location and the work involved so we can confirm availability for your job.
